Full Job Description

An exciting role that exists to ensure the day-to-day running of the college Productivity platform services are delivered to a high standard. This role would be focused around SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform and associated technologies that are heavily utilised within the college, using these technologies to enable collaboration and efficiency across the organisation.,

  • Responsible for managing the resolution of major incidents and any escalated issues relating to Productivity tools within Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform, Office Online).
  • Responsible for supporting delivery of technological change across the Productivity platforms.
  • Responsible for the security, resilience, backup and monitoring of the college Productivity platforms.
  • Responsible for identifying and undertaking Service Improvements.
  • Responsible for working closely with the other teams within IT to provide an excellent IT Service.
  • Responsible for contributing to proposed solutions to ensure they are fit for purpose and provide optimal value for money.
  • Responsible for responding to customer improvement activity.
  • To provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring and support for junior members within the Productivity team to achieve the goals and objectives of their jobs., This role is based in Cornwall, South West of England and there is an expectation that you will be required to be in the office 5 days a month.     Excellent working knowledge of SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and the Power Platform Suite.
  • The ability to technically mentor junior members of staff
  • Good knowledge of IT Security protocols, processes, policies, and standards.
  • Experience of projects and stakeholder engagement
  • Experienced in IT service management, including change, incident and problem management.
  • Good knowledge of industry technical standards
  • Proven ability to write technical documentation and operational manuals.
  • Well-developed technical skills, with particular emphasis on advanced troubleshooting, technical management, and technical best practice
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Key Skills and Experience required (E) Essential (D) Desirable Experience of supporting and/or using Microsoft Office 365 components such as SharePoint Online & OneDrive for Business (E) Well-developed technical skills, with particular emphasis on advanced troubleshooting. (E) 2 Years' experience administering a Microsoft 365 tenancy (E) Understanding and/or experience of the Power Platform toolset (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate (E) ITIL qualification (Foundation Minimum) (D) Equality, diversity and inclusion
