Full Job Description

East Midlands Cancer Alliance (EMCA) is a collaborative organisation dedicated to improving cancer care and outcomes across the East Midlands region, bringing together a wide range of partners, including healthcare providers, patients, charities, and academic institutions, with the common goal of enhancing cancer prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and care. EMCA works to ensure patients receive timely, equitable, and high-quality cancer services, regardless of where they live in the region. A key aspect of EMCA's approach is its partnership with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), which play a crucial role in aligning cancer care services with local health needs. ICBs, which oversee the commissioning and coordination of healthcare services in specific areas, collaborate closely with EMCA to ensure that cancer services are integrated into broader health and social care strategies. This partnership ensures that resources are effectively allocated, and that care pathways are designed to
meet the specific needs of the population. Together, EMCA and ICBs work to address disparities in cancer outcomes, enhance access to cutting-edge treatments, and promote early detection initiatives. By leveraging the expertise of multiple stakeholders, they aim to streamline cancer care services, reduce waiting times, and improve patient experiences., We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Programme Manager to lead key projects within our organisation. As a vital member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of operational and transformational programmes across a diverse portfolio of work. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for strategic planning, performance monitoring, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is a strategic component of the Integrated Care System (ICS) across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We were formed with the intention to improve population health and collaborate with local partners (NHS, Local Authority and Third Sector) to deliver high quality health and social care provision to our local population.

We have accountability for the system delivery of the ICS' priorities such as improving outcomes in population health and healthcare, tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access, enhancing productivity and value for money, and helping the NHS support broader social and economic development.

We seek to improve the patient experience and are committed at looking at innovative ways we can improve care and offer access and choice to our patients. Patients are at the heart of everything we do and it's important that they are involved not just in decisions about their individual care, but also in the decisions that shape the health services delivered locally. In conjunction, with patient experience and the growing demands of our population; we are facing significant financial challenge. We are required to reduce expenditure to sustainable levels (ICS 5-year strategic plan).

The ambitions are great, but so are the opportunities to be part of our new and evolving organisation, to make positive impactful change to the health and social care agenda across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
