Full Job Description

Richard Huish College has an excellent reputation both regionally and nationally in delivering an exceptional student-centred education through a broad and wide-ranging curriculum.

We are excited to announce the opportunity to join our team of Senior Progress Tutors, who under the guidance of the Head of Pastoral, School Engagement and Marketing (HOPSE), lead and manage our outstanding pastoral provision.

The successful candidate will join the Senior Progress Tutor team who manage our large team of tutors who deliver our pastoral programme. You will manage the Progress Tutors and oversee student attendance and progress and then report back to the Senior Pastoral Board fortnightly. You will work with the HOPSE to plan and review our tutorial provision across all year groups. You will have a number of tutor groups yourself and will be responsible for guiding those individual tutees within your care each week. In addition, you will also be part of the Senior Enrolment Team, providing advice and guidance to prospective and current students to ensure that they are on appropriate study programmes.

Other key duties will include liaising with the parents/carers, the careers and progression team, academic staff and other support staff to ensure that our students achieve excellent academic and personal outcomes.
