Full Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Clinical Effectiveness, this post will manage a small team of Clinical Effectiveness facilitators and clinical systems specialist to deliver priorities against the clinical effectiveness programme. This will include:

Understanding the necessary individual and collective IT and organisational change requirements for delivery

Identifying and addressing gaps in local implementation plans against agreed timeframes

Applying change management approaches and techniques to support successful project delivery

Liaison between central and local teams to ensure clarity of delivery requirements and local delivery is in line with agreed processes and timelines

Working collaboratively with the wider programme and service providers to ensure a joined up and collaborative approach and attend regular team and work stream meetings as required

Whether at Borough, Programme Team or another ICB Department, this post will work with managerial and clinical colleagues to design, project manage and deliver appropriate projects or work streams that will meet our residents needs, against the priority plans previously agreed at Place and ICB level.

This post will have a key role in actioning the priority projects that help to deliver the ICBs key objectives for our residents and communities of improving health outcomes, tackling health inequalities, enhancing productivity and value for money, and contributing to broader economic and social development., The post holder will also support the development and implementation of strategy in designated care areas under their responsibility and bring stakeholders together from across the sector to work together to design and deliver our current and future care requirements, adopting a methodical approach to Quality Improvement.

Skills of communication, negotiation and partnership working across the key clinical and professional groups (including individuals and families with life experience of their clinical conditions and our local services, as well as patient representative bodies) will be essential.

Post-holders will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of our local population, and the nature of the key communities who will benefit from tailored and targeted services to address their needs. An understanding of the ICBs responsibilities for EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) and Protected Characteristics will be important in helping post-holders to carry out their functions effectively.

The post holder will support the design solutions for priorities and lead the implementation of solutions in their areas of responsibility.

The post holder will have responsibility to manage resources and budgets for programmes and projects on which they lead.

NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (NHS NWL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in eight boroughs across North West London: Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

The local population is large and diverse, with a wide range of health and care needs that are evolving all the time. Working with our partners including Councils, NHS provider Trusts, GPs and voluntary and community organisations we plan and allocate NHS resource to deliver a wide range of services including urgent and emergency care, mental health, primary care, elective hospital services and community care.

All ICB roles work collectively to ensure our residents and patients have access to the right services when they need them as well as focusing on prevention and health promotion, supporting residents to take greater care of their own health and live longer, healthier lives.
