Full Job Description

We are seeking experienced Senior Project Managers and leaders to join our Customer Connections team based in Hertfordshire and the East of England.

This is a front-line leadership role where you will have full responsibility for managing, inspiring, developing and motivating your team to successfully deliver a portfolio of projects with real national importance. You will build and manage a team of 4-8 Project Managers and Engineers, delivering high-profile projects of up to £150m for customers with national impact. This is a hybrid role meaning you will split your time between home, office and sites based around the Milton Keynes, Watford and Cambridge areas.

As Senior Project Manager you are at the heart of delivering the Customer Connections portfolio, leading a multi-discipline team connecting the largest power stations, wind turbines, solar farms and battery storage - all of which will provide clean and affordable energy. Our work is expanding rapidly as we enable the UK's green revolution, and there is huge opportunity for personal and professional development within our business.

We're looking for someone who is going to take the job personally! Someone who is going to be completely committed to getting their portfolio of works delivered safely, on time and to budget. You will have a background in engineering project and/or contract management practice, but are open to motivated individuals from outside the industry with the attitude and drive to develop themselves and their team.

You'll have demonstrable commercial acumen with broad experience of leading cross functional teams to deliver infrastructure. You'll be a self-starter who is good at playing devil's advocate and foreseeing potential problems. Experience outside of a client role as either contractor or customer is also highly valued, we need a range of backgrounds and experience to meet the challenge.

You'll ideally have a degree or qualification in project management, engineering, business management or equivalent experience, and you will need a driving license that permits you to drive in the UK.
