Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to oversee construction capital and lifecycle works at University Hospital Coventry and Rugby St Cross. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that every project we undertake is driven by our core purpose: enhancing patient care and experience. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of Project and Construction Manager, and PMO driving team and individual performance. They will be responsible for the delivery of both their own projects and their team's portfolio of projects within various workstreams, in the most cost-effective manner demonstrating 'value for money'.

Main Duties:

-Manage a team of Project and Construction Managers, PMO and additional team members as appropriate to the role

-Follow the agreed project delivery methodology and associated processes, including governance and quality best practices and data input to the Portfolio & Lifecycle Trackers

-Produce high quality project documentation within the appropriate stage of the project, ensuring that project folders and documents are audit ready

-Determine project set-up and clearly communicate all roles and responsibilities

-Work closely with the PMO on project governance and reporting

-Manage the project budget, ensuring regular engagement with the Commercial team; work with the Commercial team to ensure that the project budget is on track and reporting is accurate

-Manage project risks and issues via project risk registers through to completion

-Manage project change if applicable, obtaining approvals for change as required; communicate details of change to the relevant parties

-Manage external architects and designers as required to ensure successful project delivery

-Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and other key stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly within healthcare facilities with sound knowledge of Health Building Notes (HBN's) and Health Technical Memorandums (HTM's). A proven history of project development and delivery with demonstrable experience and an excellent understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM) duties, pre-construction and construction phases and delivery of multiple projects is required.
