Please note that all vacancies will be subject to a 6 months' probation period in line with the Probation Policy., We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the North East London Cancer Alliance (NELCA) to support our cancer programme across North East London. As one of the NELCA Programme Managers, you will provide support and management to one or more projects within the Cancer Alliance portfolio, working closely with Project Managers and Programme Leads to deliver projects on time and within budget.
The Cancer Alliance drives the delivery of the cancer priorities across North East London, improving early diagnosis, working in collaboration with colleagues, developing new ways of working, promoting prevention and raising awareness. Our aim is simple - to improve patient outcomes whilst reducing variation for all people affected by, or at risk of cancer. Patients, carers and their families, remain at the very heart of all we do. Please visit https://www.nelcanceralliance.nhs.uk for more information., The Programme Manager will be responsible for projects within the NEL Cancer Alliance programmes of work, specifically within the Personalised Cancer Care (PCC) and Workforce in the cancer work-stream. The portfolio includes a range of projects focusing on the delivery of the NHS ambitions for personalised care in cancer. The Programme Manager will have responsibility for the rollout of personalised stratified follow-up for a range of tumour groups across NEL and scoping the Workforce requirements across the whole pathway. They will also support other NELCA priority areas including personalised care interventions, psychosocial support, treatment optimisation, lymphoedema interventions, and improving patient experience and engagement.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting project and programme delivery within a healthcare environment and a thorough understanding of project and programme governance. Excellent communication skills are also essential to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders across multiple organisations.
