Full Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery to time, cost and quality of large projects within the Mainstay programme. This includes all aspects of Project Management in a multi-project programme environment, so the Senior Project Manager may be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously. Your responsibilities in this role will also include:

  • Accountable to the Sponsor for all assigned projects to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality.
  • Establish budget requirements to deliver the project and manage the actual spend compared to the planned budget supported by the Finance Business Partner.
  • Support the definition of the project benefits and identify how these will be monitored and measured.
  • Support the creation of solutions with the end user in mind.
  • Manage co-ordinating activity across the projects, holding the project team accountable for delivering to the baselined plan.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external suppliers when required.

    As Senior Project Manager you will be experienced and have the relevant professional qualifications. You will understand the project lifecycle and be used to managing multiple projects from inception through to benefits realisation. You will have strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, while remaining calm and professional.
  • To be considered as Senior Project Manager you will have:
  • Industry recognised Project Management qualification or Degree qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in successful delivery of large/enterprise-wide, complex business change projects.
  • Proven leadership in the application to apply both theoretical and practical aspects of Project Management.
  • Ability to manage, coach, inspire and motivate team members and other project stakeholders and sustain this through the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to confidently represent the project team, exchange accurate and relevant information with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage the change to ensure the organisation is ready, willing, and able to start using the deliverables of the project to meet the benefits.
  • Proven ability to work in a complex organisation and challenge at all levels.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels including senior management and executive level.
