Full Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Control Period 7 (CP7) renewals portfolio in the Wales & Western region. The CP7 Stations and Buildings framework covers several packages, including renewals of canopies, buildings, depots, platform structures, car parks, and subways for the region between 2024 and 2029. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the successful development and delivery of the a combined property project at Bristol Temple Meads (BTM) station which involves is a comprehensive refurbishment and development initiative across multiple areas within this iconic, Grade 1 listed station. The project includes the refurbishment of the Lower Passenger Shed to create new offices, the refurbishment of Platform 3 retail units, the redevelopment of the Midland Retail Rooms, and critical infrastructure enhancements such as the Midland Shed power supply and roof repairs. Given the station's historical significance, the project requires meticulous attention to heritage considerations, stakeholder coordination, and programme management. You'll be working on:

  • You'll bring:
  • Significant experience managing large-scale construction and refurbishment projects within listed or heritage buildings.
  • Commercial awareness, and good level of programming and contract knowledge. Familiarity with NEC 4 contracts, and an understanding of how project and package P&L impacts on corporate finances.
  • Experience working for a tier 1 contractor and managing a project portfolio up to £15 million.
  • SMSTS competent with relevant CSCS cards, PTS and other identified training.
  • Detailed understanding of safety leadership, UK building regulations, heritage conservation practices, and Network Rail Engineering Management standards.
  • Competence in MEP-related work streams, especially integrated power, fire alarm, and CCTV installations.
  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, professional certification in project management, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma Methodologies is an advantage.
