Full Job Description

The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Strategic Clinical Network is an exciting strategic organisation to work for, that drives the collaboration of Health Boards, Trusts, professional and charitable organisations and aims to improve the experience and quality of services for those with inflammatory bowel disease. To deliver on our aim, our work programmes focus on early detection, diagnosis, treatment and care pathways.
We are looking for an excellent Senior Project Support Officer, providing high-level administrative support, liaising with colleagues, stakeholders and a wide range of professionals using strong communication skills.
Any candidate should have a proven track record and understand the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Strategic Clinical Network agenda and organisational arrangements to succeed in supporting and delivering Network business. Candidates will need to demonstrate proven ability.
Our working arrangements still require candidates to work from home, however the offices of the NHS Executive include Cardiff, Baglan and Llandudno. Willingness and ability to travel across NHS Wales organisations is essential., The main duties of the Project Support Officer is to support specific projects and sub-groups within the Gastrointestinal Conditions Strategic Clinical Network as well as providing general administrative support.
The post holder will:
+ Provide general administrative support.
+ Support the maintenance, management and oversight of project plans.
+ Support the development, implementation and management of required documentation.
+ Support the development and management of required documentation
+ Take responsibility for the management of defined areas of work.
+ Support the management of budgets.
+ Support stakeholder communications and engagement.
+ Produce reports on progress for internal and external use.
+ Represent the specific work programme team as requested, The NHS Executive works in partnership for and on behalf of Welsh Government, in and with the NHS in Wales and is hosted by Public Health Wales.

We do this by providing strong leadership and strategic direction - enabling, supporting, and directing NHS Wales to transform clinical services in line with national priorities and standards.

For guidance on the application process, please visit https://phw.nhs.wales/working-for-us/applicant-information-and-guidance, The post holder will work as part of a team implementing the strategic priorities through specific work streams delivered by the the Gastrointestinal Conditions Strategic Clinical Network within the NHS Executive to deliver their programme of work. supporting the National Clinical Lead and Lead Network Manager to deliver on national and regional projects and in the administrative functionality, maintenance and oversight of specific streams of this work programme. The post holder will need to develop good relationships and work with a broad range of partners including the National Clinical Leads, Chairs, Welsh Government, Health Board colleagues, patients, third sector and other stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the work plan.
