To ensure patients are supported from diagnosis through to end of treatment.
To support patients and their loved ones receiving palliative care
To provide bereavement support through signposting to appropriate services
To offer advice to non-psychological colleagues and members of the MDT who are caring for patients
To provide support to teams such as de-briefs as requested
To assess the psychological needs of patients and apply the appropriate psychological treatment which may include referral to psychiatry
