Full Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Rochester

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 depending on skills and expeirence

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the Helmet Mounted Displays (HMD) & Active Inceptor Systems (AIS) project teams concerning Quality Assurance tasks and activities

  • Planning, conducting, reporting and effectively communicate Quality Assurance tasks and activities

  • Leading junior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting tasks and activities

  • Engagement with HMD & AIS Management and Teams on Quality System matters


  • Your skills and experiences:

    Essential
  • Experience of EN9100 (AS9100) Quality System requirements

  • Proficiency of First Article Inspections to AS9102

  • Quality Assurance Planning, Estimating and Estimates to Complete

  • Supplier Quality Assurance Management

  • Drawing and Document Reviews and Configuration Management

  • Experience in leading complex Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations


  • Desirable
  • Awareness of the development life cycle of projects from phase 2 to phase 5

  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145

  • Previous experience in electronic products

  • Proficiency in compliance procedures: Systems/Safety - APR 4754/ARP 4761

    The Quality Assurance team:

    As part of the Quality Assurance Team, you will be implementing the internal Quality Assurance strategy for development projects. This opportunity enables someone with existing Systems, Software and Hardware development experience to gain knowledge and experience of Aerospace standards, in the quality assurance role within the product development lifecycle.

    This opportunity will allow you to gain knowledge and experience in the Quality Assurance role within the development lifecycle programme for Safety Critical Systems including processes for Requirements Management, Product Design, Implementation, Verification and Validation.
