Full Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Birmingham team with a potential for hybrid working. You will be working on a wide range of interesting projects including new building and retrofit housing, new build/refurbishment projects in education.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor your role will involve:

Preparing budget estimates, cost planning and tendering procedures and contract arrangements.

Formulating briefs, fee proposals, presentation of schemes, and/or services and project programming

Preparing tendering documents; examining tenders received and reporting thereon or negotiating tenders and pricing.

Preparing recommendations for interim payments, prepare regular assessments of anticipated final cost and reporting thereon; measure work and adjusting variation in accordance with the terms of the contract and prepare final account, pricing same and agreeing totals with the Contractor.

Attending various project/technical meetings and the taking, preparation an distribution of Minutes.

Preparing Microsoft Project Programmes.

Day to day management and execution of project work.

MRCIS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building)

5+ post-qualification experience

Excellent client interface skills

Experience with housing or education projects
