Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Billericay
Salary: 60,000 - 65,000
Our client, a prominent construction company based in Billericay, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a pivotal role within the company, requiring a deep understanding of UK construction procedures and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the UK construction industry, enabling them to manage projects efficiently and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Prepare turnover and profit forecasts to guide financial planning.
- Manage the pricing, execution, and final accounting for all projects.
- Prepare and agree on applications and valuations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Lead the Design and Build processes, ensuring project alignment with client expectations.
- Provide specific support to Contract Managers, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, maintaining strong communication and relationships.
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings.
- Execute tasks as assigned by the Director, providing necessary support across various projects.
- Ensure effective and timely delivery of all assigned work areas, meeting project deadlines and financial objectives.
- Practical and logical thinking with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong numeric and financial management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for overcoming challenges and delivering high-quality work.
- Commitment to excellence, consistently striving to exceed expectations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Extensive experience working in the UK construction environment is essential.
- Preferred: ONC or HNC in Construction Management or a related field.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Well-presented, articulate, and personable, with a professional demeanor.
- Practical and logical thinking with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong numeric and financial management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
