Full Job Description

We're looking for a/ Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our project team based in London.

Location: London - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in delivering a multi-million pound scheme.

Your day to day will include:

  • To implement and comply with Kier Policy and procedures for commercial functional governance

  • To maximise the planned gross margin on the project and support the achievement pf the project's budgeted profitability

  • Appoint contractors and subcontractors and to place orders for materials and plant within the delegated authorities

  • To propose, negotiate and agree the project managers variations to contracts with customers and suppliers within the delegated authorities

  • Agree the progress and value of work with customers and suppliers and lead, manage and motivate the projects commercial staff and to establish its full commercial contribution to the organisation and specifically to ensure that relationships between project and surveying functions are collaborative


  • What are we looking for?

    This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if have:
  • Diverse and clear communication skills with experience of effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, client teams, sub-contractors, and the wider supply chain

  • Holds the relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying desirable) and must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance

  • Experience within a similar role, ideally having worked on custodial related projects. NEC contract experience preferred.

  • Must be flexible and able to work as part of a team and using own initiative.

  • Ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages and ideally have managed / been involved in substantial Change Process and systematic processing of Change
