Full Job Description

Kier Group are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP) to join KME on a new project in the Oxfordshire area. KME is the internal Mechanical & Electrical self delivery business within Kier, and we work closely with the build team across an exciting portfolio of projects., As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you'll be joining the commercial team within Kier Mechanical & Electrical. What can you expect for your day to day?

  • Ensure compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract enquiries and tender reviews.
  • Manage valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
  • Provide legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
  • Drive commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
  • Lead and manage junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met and updated monthly.

    In a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, we're ideally looking for:
  • Prior experience working for a Contractor and a Technical understanding of MEP systems.
  • A clear understanding of the different forms of contracts.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and part of a team.
