Full Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Buildings Team. This role will oversee the procurement and management of key packages including the sub/superstructure and new stone glazed facade. This role will include verification of the contract sum for the applicable packages prior to contract execution and subsequent placing of subcontract packages. You'll:

  • Participate in managing the Design Change Management philosophy in accordance with the Project Strategy to include, design change, scope variation, instruction and programme change
  • Assist in driving the design in the pre-construction phase and beyond offering insights in to commercial impact of changes
  • Manage the monthly valuations and payments
  • Monitor and manage the issue of contract instructions, contra charges and formal notices
  • Prepare and issue the information for the management accounts and financial management procedure
  • Monitor and manage disputes and litigation procedures and monitor, manage and conclude all final accounts
  • Input into the end life forecasting implemented through internal procedures, the monthly cost / value reconciliations, the variation's procedures and the risk and opportunity management procedures., A career with us means you'll have the freedom to develop your skills and leave your mark on the communities in which we work.     Experience of working on medium to large Build projects £30million+,
  • Have relevant experience of running significant multiple subcontract packages £5-20m
  • Working knowledge of one or more forms of construction contracts i.e. JCT, NEC, Bespoke
  • BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject.
  • Preferably qualified or working towards ICES or RICS accreditation.
  • Self-motivated and confident, financially astute with good communication skills.
  • SMSTS qualified with the relevant CSCS Card
