We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified Mammographer to join our friendly and dedicated Breast Imaging Team in the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust.

  The Breast Unit is a busy department working within both the National Breast Screening service and a Symptomatic Breast service. The ability to work both in a team and independently, and to communicate in a wide variety of settings, is essential.
The Newcastle Breast Screening Service delivers a screening service to a large rural area therefore a current driving licence and access to a car is essential. Applicants for the above post must hold a degree in Diagnostic or Therapeutic Radiography, be HCPC registered and have working knowledge of NHS policies and procedures. A postgraduate qualification in Mammographic studies or equivalent as approved by NHS Breast Screening Programme is also essential.

• Health Innovation Neighbourhood (on the former Newcastle General Hospital and Centre for Ageing and Vitality site)
• Newcastle Dental Hospital
• Newcastle Fertility Centre
• Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria
• Northern Genetics Service
• Cramlington Manor Walks
