There is excellent support for CPD, such as IV cannulation training, study days and courses. This is a departments are committed to staying at the forefront of technology as well as all the latest CT & MR scanning techniques.
We are looking to recruit a high quality radiographers who can offer experience in either CT, MRI or both., We offer the possibility to be recruited as a band 5 and receive training, or, if you already have previous experience in CT or MRI, to join us straight as a band 6 radiographer. If however you then require training in the other modality, this is not a problem - we are always keen to develop our team.

Across the organisation we have 6 Canon CT scanners, 4 Siemens MRI scanners, 2 Phillips MRI scanners and an Esaote Extremity MRI scanner.
We have a large new trauma centre currently being completed at Bournemouth and we will imminently be adding 3 additional state of the art CT scanners to our portfolio. In CT, we perform a large amount of orthopaedic, neuro and chest/body studies, as well as specialist examinations such as cardiac, angiography, colonography and ablations. Whilst in MRI we have the opportunity to perform orthopaedic, spine, angio, liver, cardiac, breast, prostate, head & neck and arthrography. In reality, there is not a great deal of examinations that we are not undertaking.
This post will be based initially solely at Poole Hospital however please note that once the new trauma centre in Bournemouth is open the role will involve working also on the Bournemouth site.
The shifts are currently over a 4-day working week; Monday to Sunday (including bank holidays), and consist of 7am-5pm, 8am-6pm, 10am-8pm,1pm-11pm and a night shift of 10pm-8am . In addition to this you would be required to participate in the MRI on call rota out of hours., Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD. They underpin everything we do now and in the future. UHD are investing in services across the Trust, with many being transformed and developed following merger and the New Hospital Programme.

Staff recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all our Trust locations to meet service demands.
