Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Radiotherapy Assistant within the Radiotherapy service. The post holder will work in support of the radiotherapy team, carrying out clerical and administrative duties, and providing direct and indirect patient care. The contribution of support staff is recognised and highly valued, and staff are actively supported with their on-going education and development within the limits of their own potential and ambition to ensure service needs are met

    The Northern Centre for Cancer Care is one of the country's leading cancer treatment facilities located in a purpose built centre at Freeman Hospital.
  • The radiotherapy department benefits from state of the art equipment which includes 2 Novalis Truebeam STX linacs with stereotactic capability, 4 Varian TrueBeam linac and 2 Tomotherapy units. TheImaging section comprises 2 Siemens CT scanner with ProSoma virtual simulation and a dedicated MRI scanner.
