HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight. We are currently seeking a senior level professional to join our team at Director level as a Real Estate / Asset Investment Specialist Role overview: The Investment Specialist is responsible for developing and providing support of ongoing client relationships and leading the sales coordination for HSBC Asset Management (AM) Real Estate APAC products. They will use their detailed product knowledge of real estate, have relevant investment experience to obtain a keen understanding of client requirements. The Investment Specialist will support the capital raising strategy for Real Estate and take a lead role in coordinating sales through building productive relationships with the various sales teams within HSBC Asset Management. The role will be responsible for key input to the investment and portfolio management teams on investor demand for prospective Real Estate APAC solutions. In this role you will:

  • Serve as the primary product expert for Real Estate APAC investment products.
  • Ensure appropriate communication of the product positioning (eg. Investment strategy, product features, competitive landscape etc.) by working closely with the investment team / portfolio managers and Product Development
  • Identify target markets and client segments and develop appropriate plans for business development through effective lead engagement with existing and new institutional investor and other Real Estate Investment clients.
  • Be the team interface with AM sales teams globally and establish collaborative internal relationships to enhance pipeline development, market planning and engagement.
  • Coordinate with and/or manage other investment specialists to support setting strategic priorities, resource and activity plans as well as supporting team development.

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Appropriate Director level experience in an asset management / investor related role is essential for this role.
  • Experience in selling private equity real estate funds to institutional investors and raising Investor capital.
  • Highly analytical including an understanding complex financial information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders in order to be viewed as a 'Trusted Advisor'.
  • Advanced communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations to people at all levels.
  • Have a professional recognition within the European investor community.
  • This role is based in HSBC office at 8 Canada Square London you should be able to travel to London on a weekly basis. The role will involve extensive travel (domestic & International) for client meetings and other role related reasons.
