Full Job Description
We have multiple vacancies for permanent and secondment posts for Deputy Team Leader / Senior Recovery Practitioner in the WestWing Operating Theatre Department. The WW theatre complex is a 14 theatre unit and 5 satellite areas; where elective and emergency surgery takes place. Specialities include Neurosurgery, Maxillofacial, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, General Paediatrics, Paediatric Orthopaedics, and Craniofacial surgery. You are expected to provide care to Adults, Children and Neonates.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Value Based Interview (VBI) and a Technical based interview.
Candidates are encouraged to attend for an informal visit, To act as the patient's advocate during the perioperative period of care
To be responsible for anticipating and providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team
To participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain agreed standards of care
Follow Codes of Professional Practice providing high quality and safe care to patients undergoing procedures within the Perioperative environment
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated staff to join the amazing senior WW Recovery team. Applicants will be expected to have at least 2 years of extensive experience in Recovery or Critical Care and have completed an equivalent practice supervisor/assessor course. Applicants must have excellent communication, informed negotiating, and effective leadership skills to thrive in a busy team environment. You will be encouraged and supported to further develop using the learning opportunities available. There is a structured orientation programme and appraisal system in place to support your development whilst being supported by your team leader and education team.
