Full Job Description

You will lead and manage registration casework across a wide range of applicants, undertaking risk based assessments and determining whether they are eligible for registration, as well as identifying applications that present novel, complex or contentious issues and ensuring that these are management appropriately. You will provide effective stakeholder engagement, developing and managing key relationships with applicants, legal advisors, external agencies and colleagues to work effectively.

You will manage members of the Registration team, supporting them in undertaking assessments of applications for registration and in making recommendations, ensuring effective evidence gathering and assurance in order to support decision making., As the successful candidate you will be CCAB qualified or will have extensive experience in a financial environment, with a sound understanding of a range of governance, constitutional, funding and financing arrangements in businesses. You will be able to digest and analyse a wide range of complex material and be able to identify applications that present novel, complex and contentious issues., We carry out anonymous shortlisting as part of our commitment to Equality and Diversity and ensuring a fair and consistent approach to recruitment.

You should be used to delivering results and making evidenced based recommendations which support effective decision making in a regulatory, financial or assurance-based environment. Articulate and credible, with experience of producing written and oral briefings that draw out and analyse the key issues and risks, you'll combine this expertise with the ability to develop and manage effective stakeholder relationships at senior levels with applicants, advisors, and external agencies as well as having highly developed influencing skills and resilience to deal with challenging situations.

We are looking for a Senior Registrations Advisor to join us in a key role within our Registrations team at the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).

As a Senior Registrations Advisor, you will lead and manage a portfolio of profit making and not for profit registration applicants through to conclusion, utilising risked based assessments to determine eligibility for registration.

RSH regulates for a viable, efficient, and well governed social housing sector able to deliver quality homes and services for current and future tenants. Since the 1st April our remit has been extended giving us additional powers and responsibilities around the importance of safe, decent homes for social housing tenants and on landlord transparency and accountability. As a result, this is a great time to join us and help us shape the organisation., This role can be based out of any of RSH's core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. Our Manchester office will be relocating during 2024/25, however will remain within the city centre. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
