Full Job Description

To maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current food legislation, related issues and likely developments, in food legislation in the EU as well as Spanish & Portuguese or Italian speaking countries. Support outside these geographic regions is also likely.
To answer questions from members, other clients and colleagues on the content, application and interpretation of the above.
To develop and contribute to Regulatory publications and training events.
To initiate new business and deliver contract services on time and within budget.
To contribute to the development and delivery of research projects.
To recommend and implement change in services, products and systems.
To act as a Senior within the Advisor team, support and deputising for Team Manager where required.
Potential opportunity to grow & mentor team members.

Graduate level qualification(s) in food science or related subjects.
Senior experience / knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement or policy setting.
Well-developed communication skills - upwards, downwards and outwards.
Experience advising customers or working in industry providing internal teams with food law & nutritional claims support etc.
Ability to manage projects with deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
Experience of customer service and interaction with clients would be advantageous
Language skills - Fluency in Spanish and English and the ability to read and interpret food law in Spanish speaking countries. Additional languages would be an advantage such as Portuguese and/or Italian.
