Full Job Description

In this critical role within the Corporate and Commercial Banking team, you'll be managing a portfolio of high value clients around the Oxford area. You'll be focussing on client acquisition, maintenance, relationship development and retention. You'll drive the advocacy of Santander UK in the marketplace and develop excellent working relationships with key business introducers, prospects, and customers. You'll demonstrate a client centric approach to deliver solutions for corporate clients to meet short- and long-term needs whilst working collaboratively with other relevant teams.   • Leading, managing and developing a team supporting the clients in the region
  • Structuring both simple and complex funding solutions leveraging your own knowledge and that of the product specialist
  • Completing full risk and financial analysis and preparation for credit committee submissions, presenting such submissions to the credit committee
  • Managing and monitoring of portfolio of customers, including the reporting and escalation of adverse trends
  • Cultivating external relationships to promote Santander's reputation and image with customers and other external stakeholders
  • Acting as first line of defence following the risk framework and managing all types of risk including credit, operational, conduct and reputational risk

    Demonstrable experience in the Corporate Banking market in Oxford with the ability to structure and execute transactions independently
  • Advanced credit risk knowledge combined with a detailed working knowledge of the wider corporate banking market
  • Ability to use your market knowledge and connections in Oxford to create new business opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
