Full Job Description

The School of Medicine and Dentistry are recruiting a Senior Research Assistant in Systematic Review. The successful candidate will join the BEST HR institute evidence synthesis and guideline production team under the leadership of Professor Morris Gordon.
The post holder will work with the team completing evidence synthesis and guideline production activities whilst working with medical students on practical research blocks and special study module placements.

This academic role therefore offers the opportunity to develop teaching skills in a supportive team environment. It also offers the chance to contribute to and co-author research outputs, support grant applications and develop scholarly writing skills.
The successful candidate will have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent and a master's degree or higher post-graduate qualification in a related area. Experience of systematic review and synthesis works and specific Cochrane experience is also essential.
Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston with time also spent at the Burnley campus.
