Full Job Description

The postholder is expected to undertake advanced research in the area of Real Estate published to high academic standards in top tier journals; to provide strong steer and contribute to research within the Future of Real Estate Initiative (FoRE), the School and wider University that will have impact in academic and practice. The postholder will deliver teaching on graduate and executive education programmes; supervise and mentor graduate students and assist in examinations. The postholder will be expected to act in a formal administrative capacity within the Future of Real Estate Initiative; mentor research undertaken by early career researchers and act as their manager; maintain excellent relationship with the partners of the initiative; and to attract funds, manage grants in collaboration with colleagues. The postholder will be expected to take part in and contribute to the life of the School.

The successful candidate will have a doctorate in a relevant discipline with an established substantial international academic background, dedicated to a programme of scholarly rigorous, up-to-date, and relevant research in the field published in top tier peer-reviewed journals. The candidate will have a proven record in initiating and managing a significant programme of research on contemporary issues in Real Estate, including here attracting external funding. The successful candidate will have a proven record of, and dedication to outstanding teaching both on graduate and executive education programmes. The successful candidate will possess willingness and experience of supervising and mentoring graduate, doctoral students and early career colleagues. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability and readiness to contribute to the development and management of the Future of Real Estate Initiative, FAME faculty group, Saïd Business School and the wider University.

This post is comparable to a tenured Associate Professor post. The title Professor may be awarded by the University at the time of appointment for candidates with established academic standing at an appropriate level of distinction.

Saïd Business School wishes to appoint an internationally renowned and established academic in the field of Real Estate with a start date from 1 May 2022 or at a later date by negotiation. This is a full time permanent post.
