Full Job Description

The post holder will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of this project. The post holder will be involved in setting up the research project and will assume day-to-day responsibility for project management activities. The post holder will take a lead in implementing qualitative research for the study, which will include: o Co-ordinating applications for ethical and regulatory approvalso Mapping processes along the TIA pathwayo Conducting observations in TIA clinicso Conducting interviews with health care professionals, patients and their carers, and lay participantso Documentary analysis of patient facing literatureo Organising and running co-production workshops with health care professionals, patients and their carers, and lay participants Other responsibilities will include public engagement activities, data management, analysis and synthesis, and providing regular progress reports., There is an expectation that the post holder will be prepared to work flexibly and travel as required to attend local/regional/national meetings/events.

We are seeking an experienced researcher with expertise in research project management and qualitative research methodologies, to take a lead role in a new research grant funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The studywill aim to investigate ethnicity-based inequities in access to and delivery of TIA pathways and co-develop solutions that support more equitable service provision for people from ethnic minority groups. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class research centre and to work with internationally-renowned experts., The successful candidate will have a post-graduate degree or equivalent experience/qualification in a health or health/social care research related subject, have experience in project management, and considerable experience in undertaking and analysing qualitative research. Experience of co-design / co-production workshops is essential.
