Full Job Description

  • Raise invoices for and monitor payment of study related expenses.
  • Support the financial administration of grants, including monitoring and reporting.
  • Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to support grant management and study related expenses.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing and circulating agreed regular and ad-hoc research financial reports to management and budget-holders to support financial control and decision making.
  • Administering designated aspects of the departments financial systems.
  • Monitor and raise purchase requisitions for the department.
  • Support the R&I Manager & collaborate with researchers and stakeholders in drafting research contracts & variations to contracts.
  • Maintain R&I administrative systems, including computerised systems and databases
  • Manage the departmental e-rostering system, ensuring leave requests and sickness episodes are entered in a timely manner, and ensuring staff rosters are kept up to date and accurate
  • Provide secretarial support to the team, including arranging meetings, diary management, minute taking and transcribing, manage the room booking system, assist senior managers with their administrative/organisational tasks, organise travel arrangements, book conference calls, taxis, couriers, etc
