Prior experience in undertaking asthma reviews in children is essential. The post holder will need to complete Good Clinical Practice training and complete Tier 3 of the National Capability Framework for the Care of Children and Young People with Asthma. During the first month of the post, study specific training will be provided. Prior experience in undertaking asthma reviews is essential.

You will be fully supported as part of an experienced research team. You will be required to travel independently to locations across the region. The 4 hours per week will be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the study and the participants.

You will have excellent current or recent clinical skills within primary care. Attention to detail is essential as is the ability to manage your time efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for an experienced primary care nurse (with current NMC reistration) to deliver asthma reviews as part of the Prescription Alerts for Reliever inhalers in Children (PARC) Project. The post is for 4 hours per week until the end of January 2027.

The role will involve undertaking asthma reviews in children aged 1-17 years at the Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH), Reading and some GP practices in the Oxfordshire region. Reviews will be supported by the paediatric research team at RBH and the South Central Research Delivery Network Agile Delivery Team .
