Senior Respiratory Care Physiotherapist

Physiotherapists are an integral part of this multi-disciplinary team. We support unplanned admission avoidance where appropriate, provide post discharge support, community clinics, home visits and are involved in Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Ambulatory Oxygen prescription, a home Non-Invasive ventilation service, research and other innovative schemes.

The team strives to ensure evidence based practice and to provide an effective high quality service by setting standards and ensuring they are monitored and maintained.

We are offering an opportunity to build upon your specialist physiotherapy respiratory knowledge and develop further skills in the area of respiratory care., The role of the Respiratory Physiotherapist is to undertake a significant specialist clinical case load, taking a leading role in the advanced assessment, clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with long-term conditions. These patients may have complex presentations. To take a lead role in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the physiotherapy service within the Respiratory Care Team on a day to day basis.

This is a fixed term opportunity with potential to extend. To succeed in this post you will need experience of managing patients with chronic respiratory disease as a Band 7 or Band 6 Physiotherapist in a health setting. You will have experience of working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate must have good communication and organisational skills with a flexible approach to meet the ever-changing needs of the service.
