An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand and join the existing Specialist Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at The South Tees NHS Foundation Trust .
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is receiving significant funding and development as part of the NHS Pulmonary Rehabilitation 5 year vision and is an excellent time to join this team and contribute to these changes including the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services Accreditation Scheme (PRSAS)
The main purpose of the job is to deliver the Physiotherapy aspects of Pulmonary Rehabilitation to individuals and groups in a variety of locations. This is a large Pulmonary Rehabilitation service that currently provides 20 classes per week .
The successful applicant will be a vital part of the service for the delivery of Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Middlesbrough plus Redcar and Localities areas.
Successful applicant must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role., To work as part of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service providing effective and efficient respiratory physiotherapy to patients over eighteen years of age, who live in the Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland localities, within the framework of clinical governance.
To perform skilled therapeutic assessment of patients for Pulmonary Rehabilitation who present with diverse and complex chronic physical and psychological problems
To deliver Pulmonary Rehabilitation exercise and education programmes, using evidence based, client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions
Reduce acute admissions, reduce exacerbation's and increase capacity in primary care by optimising treatment and management of breathlessness, COPD and other respiratory conditions.
To work across different venues and locations in the community including patient's own homes, Hospital sites, Leisure centres and Gymnasiums and therefore successful candidate must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.
The service aims to enable individuals to maximise their independence and management of long term respiratory conditions.

You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:

+ Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
+ Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7., In general this specialist position involves the delivery of Pulmonary rehabilitation to individuals and groups of various complexities in a variety of locations.

The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month's pay.
