Full Job Description

The role is to assist the MEP design team with the delivery of mechanical and electrical design solutions in the form of Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and other digital deliverables. Working to the latest BIM standards/UK BIM Framework, you will be integral in ensuring the successful delivery of building services projects across a wide range of sectors, within both public and private domains, including defence, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, and leisure. What you'll be doing You support the rest of the design team in the preparation of clear and accurate drawings, models and associated deliverables. This will include:

  • Setting up new Revit and CAD projects using our templates.
  • Producing and amending models & drawings based on our engineers' mark-ups.
  • Producing schematics and linking these to model data.
  • Ensuring files are stores in accordance with the company's QA procedures.
  • Performing model exports, including ifc, nwc, dwfx, dwg and pdf exports.
  • Adding classification data to models.
  • Using built-in interference checking tools and other software solutions to QA check models.
  • Liaising with our BIM Manager to ensure that industry and company specific standards are being maintained.
  • Ensuring MEP models comply with project BIM requirements.

    Experience of acting as Task Team Information Manager on BIM projects.
  • Extensive working knowledge and experience of using Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • Prior knowledge of MagiCAD, Navisworks and/or Solibri would also be beneficial.
  • Experience of working as part of an MEP design team, with good knowledge of building services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, being able to liaise confidently with our design engineers.
  • The ability to work independently and to manage your own workload.
  • You will be required to attain security clearance to SC level and able to work on both MOD and scientific sector projects also requiring security clearance.
