Senior Risk Consultant Do you want a career in a Risk Consulting role advising our commercial clients on their property, motor and casualty liability, supported by Aon's breadth of specialist knowledge and expertise? What the day will look like Clients and insurers need expert advice and you will provide that through the completion of property surveys to support the insurance renewal / underwriting process and assist clients with property risk control advice, liability risk reviews (covering the employers' and public liability risk) in addition to health and safety audits. You'll help us deliver the highest quality advice to our clients. In return, we'll help you become an expert, with training on our asset and liability modelling approaches, cutting edge tools and computer programming techniques. A wide variety of roles are available in the team as you develop, ranging from client-facing consulting roles through to technical model development depending on your interests. Your day-to-day focus will include:

  • Writing technically detailed reports that provides detailed risk information and clearly articulates risk improvements.
  • Developing and delivering training courses covering liability, and property fields of risk control. Courses are delivered in person and virtually.
  • Being involved in internal marketing presentations and meetings to promote risk control services and how to further assist clients.
  • Drafting proposals for clients, clearly articulating how we can further support them to reduce their risk profile.
  • Assisting with the development and promotion of internal services, technical briefings, and case study documentation.
  • Working as a team with colleagues within our immediate team and wider Aon colleagues and associate consultants with deep technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with client managements teams / claims teams, clients, and insurers.
  • Mentoring of more junior colleagues and contributing to the thought leadership of the business through research and development.

  • Experience of the commercial insurance industry and the main property and casualty lines of business.
  • A background in property surveying and casualty auditing and training with commercial insurance industry understanding/knowledge. You may have worked in industry, the public sector or enforcement. You may already work inside commercial insurance risk consultancy.
  • Independent problem-solving and someone with a focus on making a difference for colleagues and clients through their professional engagement.
  • A desire to grow your knowledge to improve your own skills and capabilities.
  • Ability to work with others to develop implementable solutions, and to communicate the results to wide audiences
