Full Job Description

We deliver nutrition teaching within a number of training programs and provide training to A, B & C placement students which you will be actively involved in.

To be responsible for the provision of high quality Dietetic service to a clinical caseload in a designated speciality, using a high level of skills and knowledge as an independent practitioner.

To contribute to the development and implementation of evidence based clinical and teaching practice. Providing specialist advice and education in the designated speciality.

To work within the Dietetic team in assisting in the operational management of the department.

To assist the Dietetic management team to ensure the overall service provides high quality patient care, and in the management of clinical governance, resources and equipment.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of a maximum of twelve months due to maternity leave of the substantive post holder. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and statutory maternity provisions.

Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian to join our Dietetic Team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

We are pleased to be able to offer a role within our specialist Band 6 rotation. The Band 6 rotation covers a range of clinical areas, providing experience in; Diabetes, Critical Care, Burns, Upper GI and HPB Surgery, Haematology and Oncology, Renal and HEF. The successful candidate would start work within the Home Enteral feed team, providing dietetic care to Sheffield residents on a tube feed at home or in a care home.

We are looking for Dietitian's with strong communication and team working skills with a desire to develop their clinical knowledge. You will be supported by Dietetic Team Lead's and have excellent opportunities for professional and personal development within our department. This includes; involvement in audit, service development, evaluation and research within your clinical specialty and secondment opportunities across the department.
