Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Band 6 Occupational Therapy Rotation. We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic candidates to come and join our teams.

We currently offer a wide range of rotations across A&E, Frailty at the front door, Acute Assessment areas, medical inpatient wards, Elective and Emergency Surgical inpatient Wards, Orthopaedics (Trauma & Elective), Neuro (Acute, Specialist Rehab Centre and Early Supported Discharge Team), DME inpatients and general rehab.

This rotational position is looking to provide opportunities to develop skills across a range of clinical settings. We offer 6 monthly rotations through the teams with opportunities to learn the clinical specialities and develop leadership skills.

There are opportunities to engage in training and development, innovative practice and service development. We are also looking to work with partnership organisations to offer opportunities to work in community settings.

You will have professional support for your CPD from Therapy Team and Clinical Leaders and support from Senior Occupational Therapists from other specialities as required., We are looking for an enthusiastic occupational therapist who can

- Assesses and treats own caseload of patients / clients in a speciality and maintains associated records.- To have a responsibility for Training & Development of occupational therapy staff, students and other staff groups in this speciality. Supervise less experienced occupational therapists, assistants and students.- Participates as a member of the therapy team and the MDT within a specified clinical area- Has a responsibility re-own CPD and other developmental activities.- Involvement in identifying and carrying out departmental audit, research or service development activity.- Participates in weekend, evening and Bank Holiday on-call for acute respiratory patients.- Participates in providing 7-day services and extended working day, as required by the service. (Some of our services work on extended hours rotas working between 8 am and 8pm.)
