Full Job Description

  • As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and growing our portfolio of clients in the UK and Ireland, specialising in process chemistry for various industries, including food, paint, and chemicals for metal cans.
  • You will work closely with some of the biggest producers, providing technical support and ensuring that our chemistry solutions meet the specific needs of each plant.
  • Execute line audits, offering technical expertise, and maintaining strong relationships with production teams to ensure optimal performance.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with various internal teams at different levels of seniority, requiring strong communication skills and a team-player attitude. The ability to collaborate with a team of experts are key, as you will regularly interact with specialists across Henkel.
  • This role will involve frequent travel to client sites, often requiring adaptability and time management skills to handle onsite work effectively.
  • Depending on your experience level, there is an opportunity to manage key accounts and develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create sustainable solutions for the metal packaging industry.
  • Drive sales by identifying new business opportunities, pursuing leads, and ensuring sales targets and revenue goals are consistently met.
  • Working effectively with internal teams (engineering, R&D, production, etc.) to develop solutions and ensure customer requirements are met.

    A bachelor's degree in chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field is essential.
  • The role will require frequent travel, with up to 3-4 days per week spent visiting client sites. A UK-based candidate is preferred.
  • Organised, able to manage a complex and diverse workload, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, self-starter.
  • Positive attitude towards personal growth and career development.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, providing excellent pre- and post-sales support.
  • Managing multiple accounts, projects, or sales pipelines simultaneously, keeping track of deadlines and deliverables.
