Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Senior Service Manager for Stroke and Neurology Services at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.The post holder will provide visible operational leadership to the relevant clinical specialties and promote continual improvement in quality, performance and delivery of Trust objectives, The main duties of the job include
o Lead, manage and motivate staff within the relevant clinical speciality to deliver and improve services so meeting the needs of patients
o Ensure the efficient organisation of clinical and non-clinical services within the Clinical Specialties
o Ensure that budgets are managed in accordance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions, taking action where necessary to prevent or address variance in performance
o Lead a culture within the Clinical Specialties that ensures that all medical, clinical and operational employees comply with Trust Infection Control policies and clinical guidelines
o To line manage staff in accordance with the Trust's policies and objectives
At all times the post holder should use their professional management knowledge and experience to assess, plan, evaluate and judge the appropriate interventions.
