Full Job Description

As a Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse you will work collaboratively with a great nursing team and provide strong leadership, effective team management, and staff development. You will act as a professional role model to your team in delivering the highest standards of patient care.

Do you have experience working as a senior emergency nurse and have excellent leadership and communication skills? Are you someone who has a proven track record of delivering exceptional high-quality care to patients?, You will be supporting the Matron with workforce management, quality assurance, improving patient experience, safeguarding vulnerable people, ensuring infection, prevention and control, and workforce education. You must be able to provide compassionate, skilled, and expert leadership to support the unit, whilst possessing the ability to innovate, motivate others, and deliver sustained improvements.

You should possess excellent leadership and management skills and be passionate about providing high-quality, safe care to our patients. The role requires you to be enthusiastic and dynamic and have excellent communication skills with all members of the multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to take part in and lead various work streams and will be jointly responsible for a team of registered nurses and health care support workers. Management responsibilities will involve the day-to-day functioning of the department as well as dealing with issues relating to sickness/absence, rostering and staff well-being.

The successful candidate will take a lead role on projects within the department leading by example.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
