Full Job Description

The endoscopy service has expanded we have a newly opened state-of-art unit at Central Middlesex Hospital.
We are looking for a passionate, inspired, enthusiastic and compassionate nurse who have extensive post registration experience in Endoscopy to lead one of our nursing teams.
The post holder should provide leadership on quality including; patient experience, patient safety, clinical governance and regulatory compliance.
You will provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi- disciplinary team within their sphere of influence.
You will manage the unit staff including appraisals, rotas, recruitment and supervision of learners offering support and leading a team of nurses in the delivery of evidence-based patient centred care.
You will be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work
You will be required to participate on the On Call rota for Endoscopy at Northwick Park Hospital
You will be expected to work one Saturday per rota as part of the 6 day working at Northwick Park Hospital, + Provide nursing leadership and in charge of the day to day running of the unit .
+ To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them.
+ To maintain a supervisory position while managing the nursing team including annual appraisal, staffing rotas, recruitment and selection
+ To lead by example
+ Holds and manages the ward or department budget efficiently.
+ Monitor standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them
+ To respond to patients, relatives and carers concerns as they arise and take remedial action as required
+ To provide expert knowledge and advice in own specialist area.
+ To devise, implement and monitor the Key Performance Indicators for the department and work closely with the clinical lead and operational business manager to ensure standards of safety and practice are implemented and maintained., We promote the wellbeing and safety of all our patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately, according to the standards determined by our policy and procedures. All posts working with vulnerable groups will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check upon appointment and staff will need to give their consent for the Trust to receive regular updates on their criminal records status throughout their employment.
