Full Job Description

The secondment offers a great opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safer care. The role will allow for the successful candidate to be involvement in quality improvement projects.

The role allows for an experience nurse to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to set up robust systems to maintain safe practice and safe patient experience.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as a senior member of the CCU team to lead and deliver a range of quality governance activities at unit level and within professional teams' groups, to ensure compliance with the site's governance and risk framework. This includes effective complaint handling, gathering patient feedback, patient safety, incident handling and meeting the regulatory requirements of external standards and inspection such as those undertaken by the Care Quality Commission.

As Governance Lead the post holder will have a key part to play in the implementation of the site's Safe and Compassionate Quality Improvement plan and activities and in developing a proactive, open learning and improvement culture, in order to reflect Bart's Health ambition to be a leader in safety and health care excellence
