An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 - Imaging Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse/ Flow Co-ordinator to join the Imaging Directorate within University Hospitals of North Midlands. The flow co-ordinator will be a new, highly sought after and exciting role, in a busy and expanding service. Interventional Radiology is a highly specialised and challenging department that requires an enthusiastic Flow Co-ordinator who shows commitment and a positive approach towards change.
The Imaging Nursing Workforce cross cover both the Royal Stoke Hospital and County hospital in Stafford. It provides nursing support to the Radiology Day Case Unit, CT, Ultrasound, Point of Care and Interventional Radiology Theatres., The post holder is expected to lead in the organisation of the workload with the Nurse Manager, providing guidance to more junior staff and liaising with other senior nurses, radiographers and radiologists.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills; dedicated to improving patient experience within the Imaging Directorate. You must have a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of a department with an enthusiasm to improve patient flow and efficiencies.
The successful applicant should be prepared to work in an environment that can be very demanding and unpredictable, with a requirement to be organised and able to prioritise workloads despite the challenges.Experience of at least 18 months at Band 6 level or above. Recent experience in Imaging or relevant acute clinical setting such as theatres is essential.
