Full Job Description
The Social Media Manager reporting to content marketing will be the driving force behind DeepL's global social media strategy and execution across multiple social channels. You will be responsible for owning and managing the global social media calendar to ensure that all social media content and campaigns are cohesive, strategically planned and flawlessly executed. The ideal candidate will have extensive social media experience with a deep understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Youtube and TikTok. This role requires someone who is highly dynamic and hands-on, analytical, creative, and passionate about storytelling through innovative and viral content that captivates our audience. Collaboration is at the heart of this role; you will work closely with the wider communications team, our creative studio, and marketing team to deliver impactful messaging and engagement strategies across DeepL's various channels.,
- Ideate and execute a highly impactful social media strategy in full alignment with our overarching company goals and objectives with focus on brand awareness and demand generation
- Own and manage our social media calendar that resonates with our business goals and current and emerging tech trends
- Independently develop and create written and visual content including post copy for various channels, ensuring that it aligns with our B2B and B2C audiences and DeepL's messaging and goals
- Engage with followers promptly to cultivate a thriving community
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to access campaign performance and impact
- Stay on top of trends, AI technology, to keep our campaigns updated and innovative
- Prepare reports on campaign performance and measure ROI
10+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, communications or a related field with strong focus on B2B - Strong project management skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience managing cross-functional relationships and working effectively with both direct and dotted-line reports
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to convey complex information clearly and engagingly for both copy and design
- A deep understanding of social media platforms and emerging channels, with a track record of leveraging them for strategic communications (with a strong focus on B2B)
- A creative, forward-looking mindset with the capability to produce innovative, unconventional content that has the potential to go viral
- An interest in data and analytics, with a talent for data-led storytelling and experience measuring the effectiveness of communications strategies
- Big picture thinker, able to translate ambiguity into clear communication strategies
- Practical and proactive attitude with a humble approach, comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
