Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of Jewish Care's Social Work and Community Support Service, a leader in it's field, recognised for it's outstanding work with individuals and groups. The Service is a multi-disciplinary team of 25 Social Workers, Community Support Workers, Occupational Therapist and volunteers. You would work within the locality team based at Anita Dorfman House, Sandringham, Common Road, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA7 3FT.

The role includes working in partnership and building relationships with individuals, families, carers and voluntary and statutory resources to improve the quality of life of the adults we support in the Jewish Community, via a collaborative, person centred and holistic approach.

The Social Worker will work with individuals to identify key areas of support, undertaking holistic assessments, working with other agencies and representing Jewish Care in a number of platforms. They will respond to need effectively and be part our forums to promote awareness of dementia, disability, end of life, family carers, safeguarding, mental health or holocaust survivors. They will also network, liaise and work within an integrated model, ensuring that information and knowledge is communicated effectively.

You will be joining a friendly, creative and supportive team, developing your skills, with the ability to work within a hybrid model.

This post is full time working Monday to Friday for 36.25 hours per week. Access to vehicle for work will be required for this role.

We will consider all levels of experience.

What you will be doing:

Enabling and supporting adults in the Jewish Community
Supervising Social Workers, Social Work Students and Volunteers
Developing projects to increase collaboration and multi disciplinary work
Identifying key issues in the community, responding to need and working with others to develop new opportunities (eg, activities, learning and co-production events)
Participating and leading multi-disciplinary meetings, both internally and externally
Prioritising work in accordance to complexity and level of risk, whilst working with local authorities and other health and social care agencies.
Representing Jewish Care in a number of health and social care platforms and sharing information with colleagues and those we work with.

Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England (necessary)
Qualification or experience of Supervision/Practice Education
Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others
Experience in working with adults in a social care context (preferable)
Experience of community and/or group work
Knowledge of adult health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation (preferable)
An interest or knowledge of the Jewish Community
Drivers licence and access to a vehicle will be essential .
