Full Job Description
- Architecting and leading the development of high-quality, medium-large scale control software applications in LabVIEW for the integration into electromechanical ultrasonic measurement and test systems.
- Providing mentorship to members of the Software & Systems team to enhance their proficiency in advanced LabVIEW skills.
- Capturing and refining complex software requirements for client facing projects (e.g. UMS, UMSI).
- Providing technical product support to Precision Acoustics' diverse global clientele in ultrasound, which encompasses academic institutions, medical device manufacturers, aerospace and defence firms, and non-destructive testing (NDT) applications.
- Collaborating with internal departments such as Sensors to design and implement software components for both new and existing advanced in-house systems, aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency and quality control. This involves troubleshooting and resolving existing technical issues, as well as innovating new features.
- Writing, technical software documentation (e.g. user guides, design documents).
- Keeping up to date with the latest developments in relevant technologies and methodologies.
Degree qualified, in a STEM discipline. - 3+ years of experience designing medium-large scale applications involving hardware integration in LabVIEW.
- Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA).
- 1+ years of experience working within a scrum framework as part of an agile implementation.
- 1+ years of experience working with source code control, specifically Git.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Motivated learner. Desirable Experience and Qualities
- Working knowledge of ultrasound.
- Experience working with motion control systems.
- Experience working with National Instruments (NI) hardware.
- Working within a leadership capacity.
- Working within a quality management system and to health & safety standards., Are you a certified LabVIEW Architect?
- Do you have a minimum of 1 years' experience working with source code, specifically Git?
- Are you degree qualified in a STEM discipline? Education:
