Senior Software Engineer, FX Trading Platforms

We're looking for an enthusiastic, passionate software engineer to work on our Foreign Exchange trading platforms. This position offers exciting opportunities for a self-motivated individual to learn how the FX market operates. This is an individual contributor role and you will be part of the team that drives the design and development of our low latency high volume trading systems. Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the design, enhancement and testing of the trading system components.
• Working with stake holders and business owners to continuously improve our product offerings.
• Demonstrating a consistent focus on quality through the creation and execution of automated tests.
• Working within an agile team, finding innovative ways to make your team work more effectively.
• Helping Application Support teams troubleshoot production issues.
  
  Solid core Java experience
• Strong multithreading skills
• Knowledge of development tooling, e.g. unit test framework, source control, build tools
• Proficient in Unix scripting
Additional preferred skills:
• Perl, Database/SQL, FIX, multicast, socket programming, middleware
• Experience in automated testing desirable
• Personal
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent team player, effective partner across the organisation
• Strong problem solving skills, self-starter
• Education/Experience:
• Solid experience in core Java Programming
• Extensive software engineering experience
