Job Description Location: New Mills, Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 8JR (Global HQ) Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience Hybrid working: Minimum 1 day per week on site, 4.5 day working week (half day Fridays) Renishaw, a world leader in large scale laser measurement, industrial metrology and biomedical systems development is recruiting a Senior Software Test Engineer to work on new application software development across a range of measuring and manufacturing devices. As a Senior Software Test Engineer at Renishaw, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of high-quality testing (automated where possible, manual when necessary) in a tightly focused agile team covering a suite of web and desktop applications, REST APIs and associated services. The position would suit an accomplished test specialist with experience of testing componentised systems for smooth integration. Responsibilities Manage, create and execute test cases for continuous integration Create solutions for the automation of test case execution Manually execute tests that may not be automated Manage the verification activities for release of components Consider whether software is fit for purpose across a range of operating systems and languages Identify the areas of integration that aren't covered by individual component 'unit tests' run by the software developers, to provide the most efficient coverage of functionality Summarise test reports for senior stakeholders such as Product Owners and Principal Software Engineers Collaborate with development teams to provide timely feedback from CI testing to ensure coverage for newly developed features Key requirements Experience in creating and managing tests within a Test Management tool Experience of automating tests using scripting and visual solutions, as appropriate Desire to learn and improve through continuous improvement Familiarity and practical experience of a formal software development process such as Agile Desirable requirements

Experience with Ranorex Experience using virtual machines in a test environment to execute tests, preferably through Microsoft Azure Experience testing continuous integration for multi component systems Opportunities for career development and training The post provides excellent opportunities to broaden a software focused testing skill base to encompass the application of software to manufacturing hardware and learn the interplay between these aspects. We appreciate you may have a history or specialism in one particular area, for example Web App testing, and this role provide ample opportunity to broaden out to the other areas covered by the diverse suite of software, new and existing to be tested. Person specification As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you'll have a keen interest in the application of testing techniques within software development. You'll be pragmatic, resourceful, curious, self-motivated and driven, capable of managing tasks to completion
