Job Description Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience Location Wotton-under-Edge, Glouc. Hybrid working 3 day per week on site An opportunity has arisen for a Software Test Engineer. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting validation testing on a wide range of exciting software applications including Renishaw's MODUS metrology software, Renishaw Central and many associated applications. As part of testing the applicant will have substantial exposure to Renishaw's advanced probing systems and new developments, including REVO and Equator. Please note we are rurally based (GL12 8JR) with no public transport. Responsibilities Work closely with the product owners, technical leads and developers to make sure you understand the various product release requirements The management and setup of the various test environments Design and maintain test plans for the existing and new CDS software applications Provide clear and concise reports to the product owner and
development teams of any test findings Key requirements Educated to at least degree level in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar relevant scientific discipline (minimum 2:2 grade); OR the ability to demonstrate comparable applied knowledge and expertise to an equivalent level Proven ability to understand the quality requirements of a product Background in software testing of a range of software applications Ability to read and understand technical drawings Desirable requirements Experience in a wide range of metrology applications such as the measurement of Gears, Splines, Airfoils and Surface texture Knowledge of the DMIS and I++DME protocols An understanding of the principles of gauging Knowledge of GD&T Knowledge of various Machine Tool controllers Experience of working within an Agile software development environment Knowledge of various testing approaches Experience in the use of Coordinate Measuring equipment.
