Full Job Description

  • Develop and maintain deep commercial relationships at core technology suppliers. Lead commercial discussions with suppliers and be the main contact point for commercial issues.
  • The candidate will take a lead role within the Semiconductor Strategic Sourcing Team (SST) responsible for managing the sourcing strategies for MPU, MCU and ASIC categories.
  • The candidate should have a good insight (and experience) with the full SoC value chain, especially IP block integration within ASIC or custom silicon design.
  • Own RFx process with suppliers, supplier negotiations and provide input & review for product development process including Statement of Work and Supplier Agreements.
  • Keeping LEGO up to date with the industry Trends, Cost, Metrics, Roadmaps, IPs, methodologies & tools.
  • Driving with stakeholders IPs, methodologies, and Vendor selection, including mitigation and resolve potential conflicts and critical issues such as timelines, deadlines, budgets, change requests or similar in the process engineering domain.
  • Act as a central point of contact and advisor regarding process development for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Develop a global category (or regional multi-category) execution plan, take accountability for progress; build market insights, consider regional requirements.
  • Influence stakeholder participation in category execution plan, facilitate regular cadence of alignment and reviews; understand future needs and translate into key sourcing priorities.
  • Coordinate project activities and team members across global sites and resolve issues as vital according to the project schedule.
  • Accountable for quality, time, and yield management optimisation of production
  • Provide active leadership & influencing among stakeholders, finance & suppliers; drive companywide cost saving initiatives.

  • Manage global/regional suppliers: contracting, negotiations, performance management on all parameters related to SQC&T
  • Play your part in our team succeeding Over the last years The LEGO Group has been enhancing its play experience with the technology elements, Semiconductors and SoC's, Ecosystems, software management, application development and System Engineering. As part of this increased technology adoption, LEGO is developing direct relationships with strategic suppliers with a particular focus on semiconductors, and the integration of IP blocks into ASIC designs. This requires deep understanding of supplier roadmaps, features, functionalities, quality, and cost optimizations. The function will be anchored in the Parts External Manufacturing (PEM) organisation under Procurement. The function needs to be close to key stakeholder teams and partners, hence the position is location in either our London, Billund or Singapore offices. The mission of Procurement is to ensure access for LEGO group to key component global supply base, operation excellence and compliance of LEGO requirements for procurement by supply market intelligence, sourcing strategy and benchmarking for related categories. The role is as such responsible for developing assigned Semiconductor and SoC integrated circuits, including establishing and executing procurement category strategy, contracts and support the overall supplier - LEGO relation development.

    The ideal candidate holds technical background in electronics engineering and has a demonstrated commercial working experience in the area of ASIC or custom silicon design. In addition, we expect that you have:
  • Experience working on SoC/Module projects with high level of process milestone management.
  • In depth working experience with Partners, in particular the joint development of cost programs, process technologies (DFM), launch of projects (NPI) and yield optimisations.
  • Shown commercial leadership experience in a high technical environment.
  • As a person you have strong interpersonal and communication skills with multicultural experience (Asia, Europe) You are fluent in English and used to interact with and present to suppliers and senior internal and external stakeholders. This role will also require:

  • Proven Semiconductor experience with a focus on ASIC design and integration of IP cores.
  • Extensive knowledge in Semiconductors Procurement and/or Semiconductor sales, giving you a strong Commercial and Management experience in an technology environment.
  • Team-player with open communication skills.
  • Leading complex negotiations at global/ regional level.
  • Driving supplier segmentation & performance management initiatives at global/ regional level.
  • Identifying key sourcing and governance initiatives and developing plans for execution.
  • Defining technical requirements, quality, and logistics requirement based involving relevant stakeholders. Driving capacity management with global suppliers.
  • Experience of technology integration within ASIC designs
