Full Job Description

We're now looking for a Senior Specialist to join our team working across our mental health services on a full-time, permanent basis., As a Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert mental health sector advice and supporting multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) across our Network.
Influencing our national approach to forensic mental health services, you will support MDTs by assisting with decision-making on high-risk issues and providing senior specialist input on regulatory risks. You will also ensure that data, insights and sector learning inform operational delivery.
Supporting complex and high-risk activities, you will work with leadership to ensure our strategy and regulatory priorities align with sector developments and drive improvements in quality and safety.
Additionally, you will:
- Enhance sector-based leadership and safeguard practices
- Contribute to policy development and training delivery
- Collaborate with line managers and the Operations Network to ensure person-centred approaches
- Manage stakeholder relationships and handle public, POCU and MP concerns

To be considered as our Senior Specialist, you will need:
- Excellent knowledge of mental health (ideally secure / forensic services)
- Experience of delivering through others
- Experience relevant to your specialism of stakeholder engagement
- Experience of implementing policy to manage operational risk
- An understanding of how to translate methodologies into reality
- Expertise in your specialism
- The ability to advise and coach others to generate a better understanding of regulations and appropriate interventions
